Underarm Whitening in Makati: What It Costs and What Actually Works
Dark underarms are one of the most common things people ask us about and one of the least discussed out loud. Clients lower their voice for this question in a way they do not for acne or wrinkles.
Hygiene has nothing to do with it. Underarms darken on people who shower twice a day in this climate. Skin makes pigment when it is irritated, and shaving, friction from tight sleeves, deodorant and old ingrown hairs irritate the same patch of skin every week.

Map the irritation that happens between appointments

If the darkness is thickened to the touch and also appears on the back of the neck, in the groin or under the breasts, that pattern can signal insulin resistance. What is causing mine, and will the treatment reach it?
Pigment sitting near the surface answers to gentle exfoliation and brightening actives. Deeper pigment needs a laser. If nobody looks before quoting, nobody knows which you have.
What am I supposed to change between sessions?
No course holds while a razor runs over the area twice a week. If the plan covers only the hour you spend in the room, you are paying for the smaller half of the work.
How many sessions, honestly?
Most people see a change after three sessions and reach most of the available improvement by six. Walk away from anyone who sells one session as a permanent fix.
What will it not fix?

Will my underarms match the rest of my skin?
No. The realistic result is several tones lighter and more even. Underarm skin is thinner and has a different history from the skin on your arm.
Does scrubbing help?
No, and it usually makes it worse. Friction is one of the causes, so scrubs, loofahs and daily whitening soaps add the irritation that produces the pigment.
Why do they get dark again afterwards?
Because the causes continue. Shaving, friction and deodorant do not stop when the course ends, which is why maintenance and a change of habit are part of the plan rather than an upsell.
