Melasma Treatment in San Juan: Prices and What Works | ICONIQUE
Melasma Treatment in San Juan: What Controls It, and What Sets It Off
Most of the melasma we see at Greenhills has been treated somewhere else first. People arrive with a history of peels, whitening products and one course of laser that made it darker, which is a specific and fixable mistake rather than bad luck.
Melasma is chronic. We lighten it and hold it with maintenance, and we say that at the consultation rather than selling a cure. It is symmetrical, it favours the cheekbones and upper lip, and it flares with pregnancy, hormones, sun and heat.
Two of those triggers wait for you outside the clinic door, which is why the plan has to cover your day and not only the hour you spend with us.
What to audit before treating melasma in San Juan
Start with the products already bought
Photograph every whitening soap, cream, acid and serum currently in the routine. The Greenhills consultation should identify irritation before adding energy or another active. Melasma often darkens when too many treatments are stacked together.
Plan maintenance before the first session
The third-floor visit can reduce visible pigment, but the condition remains trigger-sensitive. Decide how sunscreen will be reapplied and which products continue between visits. A plan without maintenance is a temporary change presented as a cure.
What a session is like
The consultation asks when it started and what your day involves in sun and heat. Those answers shape the plan more than the machine does.
Sixty minutes. Cleanse, cool, a series of deliberately light passes, then a calming serum and sunscreen before you leave. No downtime.
Sessions sit three to four weeks apart, and the change is gradual by design. Strong and fast is how melasma rebounds.
When this is the wrong treatment
Pregnancy and the months after
Melasma that arrives with pregnancy often settles once hormones do. Treating through it means fighting a trigger that is still running.
Anyone who will not use sunscreen daily
It decides the outcome more than the laser does, so we say it before you pay rather than after.
An event in three weeks
This is a months-long project. For a date that close, makeup is the honest answer.
What it costs in San Juan, 2026
Our list price is ₱14,950 for a sixty-minute session, with introductory rates running for most of the year.
Clinics around Metro Manila advertise melasma sessions from about ₱2,000. Compare the machine, the number of sessions, and whether sunscreen and hormones came up at all before the quote.
Five questions to ask any clinic, including us
Is this melasma or sun damage?
Sun spots are scattered and irregular. Melasma is symmetrical and appeared for a reason you can usually name. They are treated differently and confused constantly.
What happens if I darken after session two?
Ask before you book. The answer separates a clinic that has treated melasma from one that has only treated pigment.
What am I taking home?
Tinted sunscreen with iron oxide, reapplied through the day, and a topical that suits your skin. Without that, the course buys months and then gives them back.
What does success look like?
Lighter, more even and holding with maintenance. Not gone forever.
These are the list prices. We run promotions through most of the year, so call or message for today's rate and for course pricing. The consultation is free either way.
How far it is from where you are
Distances measured from the door, not estimated.

Can melasma be cured?
No. It is controlled. A course lightens it, maintenance holds it, and pregnancy or a heavy season of sun can bring it back.
Can a laser make it worse?
Yes. Heat provokes the same cells you are trying to calm, which is why the passes here are gentle and repeated rather than strong and few.
Why is mine worse in summer?
Sun and heat are both triggers, and visible light counts alongside ultraviolet. Tinted sunscreen with iron oxide covers more of that than a clear one.
